Shocks Z750 E1 (1980) Marzocchi.

Hi after my first long run with my bike the shocks gave out major oil leak.
The shocks are Marzocchi and I don't know anything more about them besides how they look and the fact that they are air assisted (I have filled them up with the correct pressure)

Now I wonder, is it possible to rebuild these shocks?
Are they good shocks to begin with?
If I are about to replace them what brands should I look for?
Hagon?

Yes they are rebuildable and they are not filled with air. They are filled with nitrogen. They were the hot set up back in the day. A modern set of Hagons would be better than the older tech you currently running.

Then I made a big screw up.....
What I think is the reservoir is on the bottom end of the shock with a tire valve in it.
I don't remember the pressure think it was about 20psi.
it was stated beside the tire valve anyway.
I filled it from the air compressor at home (restricted outlet of course)

Where do I find rebuild kits?
I am searching the marzocchi website but the store is down and seems to find nothing anywhere else.

The rebuild kits may still be available for the Strada 4 series. To be sure, check your shocks for what series Marzocchi's you actually have. BTW, you didn't hurt the shocks by filling with compressed air (instead of nitrogen)...but you may blow out seals with a high pressure compressor...use a bicycle pump next time. I'll check at home for my last address for Marzocchi rebuild kits...IIRC, my rebuild kits came from a vendor in the UK.

the number on the shocks are a 3.
(positioned on the yellow/red label where the pressure is written. after those numbers there are a round ring where this is typed)

I believe I will do a rebuild all things considered, it's cheaper and will keep the bike in the correct period.
Btw what kind of oil shall I use in them?

Ohh one more thing what are the numbers for?
Higher number stiffer spring? or what?

Well that didn't go as hoped.
Can't seem to find a rebuild kit that I am sure will fit.
(preferably whit in the European union so I don't have to pay import tax and wait forever until it clears custom)
I took some images on the shock and want some help to identify what shock it really is.
The piston rod (whit in the spring) is approximately 12mm in diameter.

I have emailed Marzocchi as well but hold no hope that they will reply.

Any suggestions?
And yes I know that my bike is dirty as fuck on the picture
