KZ250 Belt Supplies & Identification

No eBay APP ID and/or Cert ID defined in Kunena configurationHi All,
I have a kz250 belt drive with a worn belt. I also have a chain conversion, but I like the idea of the belt drive - except that belts seem to be pretty hard to come by.
The pat number is 59011-1011 (or 59011-1004 for another belt that will work I hear), however most places seem to want in the region of $400 for them.
Apart from the fact that they're 125 tooth and about 1 1/8" wide, is there anything else that I can use to identify the belt? A quick google search brings up belts like this:
Which looks about right - but still $200.
Is there any magic to finding these, or should I just switch over to a chain?

In addition to number of teeth and width the outside length is important.
I don't know if you have what we call industrial supply companies in Tasmania but if you do you do they often sell a wide range of belts including ones for ATVS, golf carts snowmobiles etc that might suit a 250. Might be worth a look.
The ebay listing says that belt fits a range of Harley and that price is about right . You could ask seller for outside length measurement.
Youre lucky to have the chain conversion kt if you can't get a right size belt
Good luck

You're right about the length - but it's hard to get than information on most websites, they just give a part number. Same goes for the shape of the teeth - nobody provides the pitch or size.
I figured that I would need to go to the chain for now - I can come back to the belt at a later stage when I feel like spending more money on it.

If you don't mind, could you post a picture or two of your chain conversion? I;m currently having the same problems and don't even have the chain conversion. And I've been looking and the belts are non existent. Best of Luck
