Dunlop 491 elite ii front tire size??

Hey guys,

I got my 79 KZ 1000 ltd, the front tire is now run way down it is a metzeler me33 laser 3.25-19.54 whatever that mean and the back tire is a Dunlop 491 elite ii. Now I don't know if I want to put that tire on the front to match with the back tire or put another tire on the front. Any suggestions? I need some help,

I've been running A Metzler Lazer on the front & A Piirrelli Sport Demon on the rear of my 80 Ltd 1000 for A couple of years & have performed well for me, so I just ordered the same combo for my 76 LTD 900, ...you don't have to have matching tires, ...just Good tires ...Pete

I agree with Greek one as long as you have good tires they don't have to match. Correct tires for your bike would have been a good year I can't remember the call letters on the side but they were white letter like the Dunlap that you see on both of my bikes I'm partial to white lettering myself although I've never been a fan of Dunlap these tires have done me well I do have metzlers on my old 76 Harley and they are awesome

Ok guys thanks, it's just so many people suggest so many different tires and ask you well what do you want out of the tires and I say, I want them to be able to handle a kawasaki kz1000 lol. But I guess I'll just get the same front tire
