Hey everyone
My 550 just failed inspection because the tires are almost bald. I went to the dealer and ordered two new tires. They charge a ton of money to take the wheels off the bike and change the tires so I want to take them off myself and only bring the wheels into the dealer. I don't have any stands to support the bike other than its center stand. I'm pretty sure the center stand is enough to take the rear wheel off but does anyone know of a way to support the front of the bike so I can take the front wheel off?

Grab some bricks and some pieces of wood. Just gently lift the front and put the bricks somewhere under the bike for support. Place wood between the bricks and the bike so you dont damage the paint.

I always change my own tires, so I do them one at a time. If you want them both off at the same time you can remove the rear tire first then (with the bike still on the center stand) use a little bottle jack under the front of the engine to lift the front wheel off the ground. Use a small block of wood between the jack and oil pan to protect the pan. Ed

I think you can use a hyd jack with a piece of wood under the edge portion of the oil pan (not the center) but it's a risk to use that. 650Ed showed the best way, keep the lift point near the edge of the pan because it's a lot stronger than the center.

put it on center stand and put some weight on the back of the seat. it should raise the front tire off the ground. but you cant do both tires at the same time.
