Just in the process of ordering new tires for a few of my bikes. Going with Avon Roadriders on my CBX and Michelin Pilot Activ on my Katana and I am hoping to get some Advice from MKII people here...

The bike came stock with pretty piddly tires: 3.25 / 19 FRONT and 4.00 / 18 REAR. There are some Bridgestones on it now and they are old an worn and I'm not crazy about the pattern or overall look.

What sizes and makes have people here had good luck with?

I'm very pleased with my Pirelli Sport Demons (see pic below). I use 100/90 V-19 up front and 120/90 V-18 in the rear.

I put continental Conti-Go tires on mine. 150 x 70 x 18 on rear. 110 x 90 x 19 on front. Very happy with them.

Agree with the 100 & 120 sizes. Going wider isn't advised due to the width of the stock wheels.

As for which tires, there are lots of solid choices. Sport Demon's are a great choice if maximum performance is the criteria, Roadriders last a little longer and stick nicely too. I recently took a flier on some Conti Go tires for my 750. No personal experience with them but Continental don't make junk. Found a good price here... www.americanmototire.com/catalog/
