police bike fairings etc

My bike is 81 1000ltd.A guy has the police fairig,bags, and crash bars from 99 police bike for $300.ould they fit? Or are they completely different.He also has a complte bike for only $1600 that would have been a lot cheaper and easier for me to do than what I am doing.too late now.

Actually I dont want a police bike.I thought maybe my wife would ride with me if I had some place to store her purse and junk, but she never rides with me.I want a resto mod version of my bike.Almost stock.
