Do the rear shocks come apart?

Sometimes, even if you've done them before, you'll find taking this kind apart VERY difficult.

Use whatever. I paint my MX springs, no problems. Just do a good job. If they compress alot, no matter what you coat them with will wear between the springs from rubbing.
