I looked all over and couldn't find the thread pitch. Its an 8mm but no pitch.
I do know its a very fine thread pitch though.

I had read somewhere a good while back to use a 7/16"( I think) bolt and nut which will be a 3/4" head. I had welded a nut and bolt together at work months back and had it with my KZ stuff. Turned out it was too big, had to go with a 17 mm metric bolt head and nut. Pitch doesn't matter as you are just making a tool to hold the plunger from spinning while taking an 8mm allen wrench to the bottom bolt of the forks.
Anyways I clamped the fork housing down to my steel table, slid a medium size chisel from my chisel set down the tube and held it with an extension and 3/8" drive ratchet and I think it was a 5/8"(size of chisel) socket. Worked perfectly to get them apart then I was able to get the17 mm head for a bolt and nut at the auto parts to tighten it back up. Monday I will weld up the bolt and nut so I can use it to take the next ones apart someday. I did use it to tighten them back up, but you can't take it apart with this unless you weld the nut or double nut, even could use a left handed nut and bolt. Anyways finished and even did a quick polish job to the lower housings and managed to put a few miles on her also today. No more forks leaking the oil and I installed 2 new OEM fork tubes also.

I had that end covered, but the plunger was spinning inside the fork tubes. Had to figure out how to hold it, get it apart and find out what size I need to put back and for any next times also.

My manual says:
" front fork bottom Allen bolts" - " 10 mm Pitch 1.25 "
the part number shows a 8 mm Allen.........shit I don't know.

I was talking about the plunger holding tool size for inside the fork tubes for rebuilding my front forks. I got it though already and have it all shined up. Thanks though.
