Stock airbox drain tube???

I am restoring my 1980 KZ1000 LTD one peice at a time, and I am looking for a stock drain tube for the stock airbox. Unable to find them for the 1000 ltd in my usal places like Redline Cycle, ebay, Z1, etc. But I can find the tube for the Z1 900. My question is, will the 900 tube fit the 1000?
Any help in finding a source would be greatly appreciated.

The "S" hose routes the crankcase vent into the air box.
The "S" hose is not a drain, and is not designed to function as a drain.
Nothing is supposed to "drain" from the air box through the "S" hose into the crankcase.

When carbs overflow enough to allow gasoline into the air box, the gasoline accumulating inside the air box may drain down through the "S" hose into the crankcase. :pinch:

Where fitting carbs without overflow circuits, such as smooth bores, may wish to consider routing the hose from the crankcase vent to exit underneath the bike (instead of into the air box).

I agree, I dont know why it is refered to as a drain, If something is draining from it I think you might have a big problem. Especially when I am attempting to put it back to stock as much as I can. I like reading your post. You obviously know alot about these bikes, Unlike me who is learning as I go. Thanks Patton.
