Good eye, yes that LTD did get a fork swap. I used a YZF600r fork because it is very long at 31.75 in., it is mafe with a 17mm axle, Race-Tech makes all the tunning parts needed to set them up and they are cheep & easy to find. I made the triple clamps and guage mounts.

Why not just use a Concours 1000 front fork setup and then the brakes will bolt right on? I believe even the axle diameter is the same for the KZ wheels.

The concours forks are just damper rod forks and very old tech. The YZF forks are cartridge forks and they are ligjt years ahead of damper rod forks! If you are going to go through all of the hastle and expence to swap forks, at least end up with cartridge forks.

A bracket would still need to be made, or possible bought as there are some out there for the later 1000 Connie. There are a few for the 94 up to fit a Nissan, or a Tokico 4 spot, both different brackets.
Just not worth it, for that sort of swap.
