Approaching a chain and sprockets replacement on my 1100 and trying to decide whether I'll do a 530 conversion or not I spent some time with JT's online catalogue to research my options (I run a wider than stock rear wheel and will need an offset front sprocket).

I also want to change my gearing a bit for less cruising rpms so I'll likely go from stock 15/42 to either 15/39 or 15/38 (630) or 17/44 (530), which should change the ratio from stock 2.8 to around 2.55 - 2.6, does that sound about right?

Came up with the front sprockets listed below, they will all fit the Z-12 spline with various amount of offset - don't know if this is useful for anyone but me, but here it is anyway.

Btw, came across a few sprockets for 532 and 632 chains, anyone know if they'll work with 530/630 chains? And what does the last digit designate?

532 is 1/40" wider than 530.
632 is 1/40" wider than 630.

The math:

630
6 is 6/8" = 3/4" length pin to pin
30 = 3.0/8" = 3/8" width = 15/40"

632
6 is 6/8" = 3/4" length pin to pin
32 = 3.2/8" = 2/5" width = 16/40"

632 is 1/40" wider than 630

632 chain would fit onto 630 sprocket with 1/40" extra play.

A 630 chain might squeeze onto a 1/40" wider 632 sprocket, but would be a tight fit.
Whether too tight, I don't know. :(

Good Fortune! :)
