Hi guys I'm swapping gs1100e swing arm into my 77 kz1000 and have it installed, but I'm having trouble with shocks. I heard people using the gs shocks with no problems so I got a pair, but the top mount eye is too small to fit onto the stock position. I tried pressing the bushing out so I could replace it with a kz bushing but that sucker is on tight and do not want to damage the shock.Anyone that used the gs shocks, how did you go about mounting them? Or anyone have any suggestions?

I will probably switch these out later but for now I want to give them a shot.

I got in touch with a person at Hagon Shocks and the made me a custom pair of shocks.
I got the length I needed with the correct ends.
They were very reasonable in price as well.
Very nice people to deal with, I would highly reccomend them.
Good luc with your build.

How are you pressing out the bushing?

I put on new sportster shocks and the bushings were tight. I used a liberal amount of wd40 and pressed the bushings out with a vice and sockets

I cut away the tabs and fabricated the ears/ then tig welded them in place. Perfect fit for my old mulhollands and now the zrx shocks. I can photo it for you and provide more details like final size of the new tabs/etc...
Worked very well and has been rock solid for 5 years ir so. Position kept same height as well.
I have two more in the attic that some winter ill crank out a few more.
Z1ent also sells weld on tabs, but there is a "ridge"along the top that i felt should remain, would make it hard to weld their tabs if u kept it. I would love to hear if anyone has used thise tabs on this swingarm.

Finally had some free time and got them mounted. All I had to do was grind the metal bushing until they fit over the mount.
