how much air to put in shocks? was created by chiaronate
I did a search on here and didn't find anything about how much air to put in a 1982 1100 spectre suspension, front and rear. I ordered a repair manual that I should have in a few weeks. Is there a special air pump that is recommended? My bicycle pump doesn't seem to go far enough over the valves.

Thanks, I just received a repair manual in the mail yesterday. It says 7.1-10 psi for front and 5.7-21 psi in back. I figure 10 in front may be good because I have a vetter fairing, and perhaps 15 in back as a compromise between comfort and in case I get an occasional passenger. I'll see how that amount of air feels and go from there.

OK thanks I hadn't thought of inserting a signature, and also didn't know that the shocks can collapse and cause a tip over.
