Removing front caliper dust boots

Removing front caliper dust boots was created by savedrider
There is a metal retainer ring that keeps them held in place. How do I remove this part? My plan is to remove and reuse so I don't want to damage anything. Thanks.

I figured it out. Just gentle prying with a small flat blade screwdriver did the trick.
