front end wobble

I had new tires put on last week and now under 40 mph I have a front end wobble? What do I do.It didn't have it when I dropped it off?

Tire not balanced correctly? Maybe not seated on the bead straight? Axle properly fitted/ torqued?
Bad steering head bearings?
Did they do a fork service or anything else?

This is a pic of the seat on the rear tire could it cause a wobble in the front?

That bead is Not seated. Put your bike on center stand or another jack. Roll the tire and watch the tread do weird things. It will have a big Bow in it. Need to let the air out, spray some soapy water around the whole bead and re-air it.
Also the balance should be checked. I take it off, use the axle shaft in a vice, with a 2x4 cut to length to hold it level. Put the wheel on it, and spin it real slow, seeing where the heavy side is, it will go down to the bottom.

That does not look seated to me. Tires normally have fine raised lines running parallel to the bead. When properly seated, these lines can be seen running parallel to the rim. See pic. One more reason I ALWAYS mount my own tires. Ed

Got it. Tire wasnt seated. I deflated soaped put a rachet strap around it and put air in and pop. Rode to work and wobble was gone. thanks guys. Shame I paid the guy. 650ed where did you buy your tire changing tools? Harbor frieght?

I've had them a very long time, so I don't remember where I got them. They are Motion-Pro 08-0005 11 inch irons (see pic). They are available at lots of places online; I think Motion-Pro's price is $10 for a set of 2. Having 3 is better, and MP does sell singles. Don't even waste your time with shorter irons! I used shorter ones for years and they are horrible - not enough leverage. Ed

No. Since I'm only removing a tire I plan to toss, I just use a couple C-clamps and a rubber mallet to break the bead. Usually, the mallet is enough. You do need to rest the tire/rim up on some 2x4's or something else that is sturdy when working the tires, because you need to raise the disk rotor(s) off the floor or you may damage them. Also, you need to put something between the tire irons and rim or you will mark up the rim. Any sort of plastic shield will do, you can even cut it from a plastic jug. Ed

Used these same tire irons last week to mount my new Bridgestone tires and they work very well. Am a believer in saving money and changing your own tires. Thay way you can be sure it is done right.
