It still rubs, but it looks much more straight with you on the bike, and I suspect a slider would help prevent damage to the swing arm and chain. One other possibility you may want to look into is going to larger sprockets on the front and rear if possible. I don't know what's available or what's the largest engine sprocket that will fit, but you might be able to increase the diameter of the front and rear sprockets and maintain the same overall ratio while letting the increased sprocket diameters lift the chain a little higher off the swing arm. yea Ed, Ive looked at it a bunch of different ways. Its a 17t front and it looks really close already. and the rear is a 48t and to me its kinda on the big side as far as my tastes go. what kinda worms would I open myself up to if i relocate? it just seems like the most proper way to get what Kind of room I need

Are you actually sizing your sprockets based on how they look?

As you have described your sprockets, you have a drive ratio of 2.82:1 (48/17=2.82 about)
By increasing the front to 18 and the rear to 51 your drive ratio would be almost unchanged at 2.83:1 (again 51/18 = 2.83 about) With this change your sprocket line would rise slightly above where it is now.

Don't be ridiculous! It's only a flesh wound!

slayer, yes and no, I just dont want a huge rear sprocket. I see stunt bikes use them and yes I know why, and I think it looks stupid, despite the advantages. I know a 51 is not a huge sprocket and Im also unsure if an 18t front will fit, let alone if I can even get one in the offset I need (off the shelf)and besides, what would 1 up front and 3 out back give me? maybe, maybe an eighth. when the bike is sitting, unloaded, it needs another 1/2" at least.

Run it as-is. But you need a slider and a guide. If you're still worried, add sag.

What the others said~ throw a chain slider on it. If you are asking here if you can relocate the swingarm pivot, then you might not want to attempt it. Chain sliders are tough, and lots of modern sport bikes and ALL dirt bikes use them. If I walked out and took a pic of my YZF450 sitting on its stand, it would look worse than your pic. B)
