Universal Front Brake Master Cylinders?

Hey guys, just curious if master cylinders are universal. I've heard of people taking them off of newer crotch rockets and slapping them on cafe racers. Let me know if it's possible or what I should watch out for.

Thanks,

Ya man, its just that. Super easy. If you care the masters have ratio and you can try to pair it up. Any early 90's will be fine, for newer stuff stick with the lighter jap bikes 600/700's. Dime city also has replacement vintage looking nissins. DONT buy any Chinese stuff..

Assuming your bike has dual front disks be sure to get a unit for duals. They have a 5/8" bore; the MC for single disk has 1/2". Ed
