Rear Caliper Identification was created by Bolt_Upright
Long time lurker, first time poster. I have a 83 Kz1000 frame with an earlier 900 motor and I believe a Z1R front end. It has a monoshock swingarm. I did not put this amalgamation together. Can anyone help me identify this rear caliper so that I can order a proper rebuild kit?

It looks to be the same as one used on the rear of a 2000 EX 500 ninja ....parts on bike bandit .... Caliper P/n 43041 ...I'm sure it's used on many others

Thanks a million. I NEVER would have identified that perusing catalogs. Does that mean this swingarm is probably from the same bike?

not necessarily......
yours does not look like a swingarm from an ex 500.....as that brake is used on other bikes. hth :S

I couldnt find an ex500 that looked the same. I think I have identified it as a zx900. Does this look correct?

Bingo! Thanks, guys. After I get this little street fighter in action, I am starting a factory style resto on a 75 Z1B that my family has had around since 78 and in storage since 1981. I look forward to some time on this site.
