KZ 1000 rear brake question

I am trying to put a rear wheel assembly together fro a KZ1000 from a few parts mikes I have. Unfortunately none were assembled. On the right side of the wheel there are 2 spacers that look simalr. They both fit over the axle and one fits into the wheel and the other fits into the brake hanger as a bushing. I have several of these and there are 2 different lengths. Should the bushing/spacer that fits in the hanger be wider than the brake hanger or the same width? I tried to post a parts diagram but could not figure how. Thanks

If all else fails,put it together and mount it up.Check to see if the chain is running true,or if it's offset right or left.Swap the spacers around if needed to get the chain running true.

Thanks havakaw, I have done so and used a few washers to make up the slack. The other spacer/bushing I have would take up the slack without the washers but would allow the the caliper arm to have a bit of space to FLOAT back and forth. I guess that is my question. Is the caliper supposed to have some free play side to side?

Well,you do want it to have SOME minimal play in it to account for when the tire moves up and down thru the travel.Also, the caliper should have some movement side to side to keep it from binding up the pads and causing drag on the rotor.But the caliper mounting bracket should be pretty snug when the axle bolt is torqued properly.Side to side sloppy there is not what you want.Freedom to move up and down with wheel travel is what you want.The caliper bracket strut rod should also be straight and true to really get things right.
