Front brake mc replacement

I recently bought a used 82 KZ650 H2 CSR. While going through and cleaning/repairing I found the master cylinder was full of yellow crusty stuff and no fluid. Yay. So after scraping it out I tried bleeding the brakes and almost no fluid came out.
This bike sat for years before i bought it. So I need a front brake. Not sure what rebuilding entails and if its worth it. More interested in buying a working part but can't find one in good shape. Needs to be a non-tilted single caliper 1/2" bore with a brake light switch. Doesn't have to be Kawisaki. Any recommendations?

It sounds like will need to deal with more than the MC if it was that bad. Chances are that the caliper is also full of crap. You may find if you clean up the caliper and MC that the brakes will bleed ok and work for you. Ed

usa-motorcycles-inc on ebbaayy lists new aftermarket mcs. I'll suggest replacing the brake lines w ss braided. I installed Goodridge lines & fittings from Z1Enterpirses.com. I also rebuilt the caliper w a K&L kit & piston from Z1.
