17 Inch wheels
01 Jul 2006 20:17
Hi,
Im 16 and just got a 1980 kz650 to rebuild for school and i was seeing if i could put 17 inch rims on it so i could have a bigger tire selection. It has 18's right now with a 110 tire. I wanted to see if a wider 17 inch rim would work with the stock swing arm and front fork set up
Thanks:)

Usually in order to go to wider rims you either have to change front and rear ends or make modifications to the spacers. I have 17's on my 1000 but I use a FZR 600 front and rear end.

How hard was it to put a diffrent swing arm and front forks. Is their a lot of mod's to puting on a more modern set up?
