So I was recently given this bike and I am doing some work to get it roadworthy. The front brakes were locked so I decided to clean everything. Before I realized wth I was doing I had 80% of the parts in my parts cleaner (mineral spirits) like a fool. I closed the lid and went looking for rebuild kits since the damage was done. I cannot seem to find ANYTHING for a rebuild kit for the D (or so it seems). The piston is somewhat different from everything I find, mostly they have a clover riveted on the end of them instead of the plastic piece like I have. Can anyone enlighten me about what I have here and where to find a MC and Caliper kits? Apologies if i am beating a dead horse here....

If it was mine I would just bite the bullet and buy genuine Kawasaki parts. The piston and dust shield are probably all you need as long as you clean everything else up carefully to remove the mineral spirits. Both parts are still "Active" parts so any online or local dealer should be able to order them. Total is about $45 at ronayers.com. Ed
