another wheel question.....
16 Apr 2013 00:16
I have a 1982 750 csr twin with the original spoke wheels, what mag wheels from other models will fit it? I see a lot of wheels for the 550 ltds on ebay, just curious to see which ones will interchange, thanks for any help in advance

From 76-80 the KZ1000 wheels interchanged with the KZ750 twin.
Maybe they continued that in 82? Check out the 81-83 KZ1000K LTD, see if they use the same wheel bearings for a start.

I put KZ550-Ltd wheels on my 81 KZ650-CSR - they were a direct swap.
The 750-CSR has some of the same wheel/brake parts, so perhaps the 550 wheels will worK? - using Partzilla:
same axles, Fr dust covers, Fr forks, Fr Br disk, Rr coupling assy, Rr brake panel assy, etc.
Note: The 750-CSR has 40-spoke wheels, whereas the 650-CSR are 48-spoke, so the hubs are different.

Keep in mind that I don't know for sure if they will work on your 750. You should check other stuff, such as the spacers/collars. Since the axles are the same, I'd guess the fitment would be okay... but I'm wondering if the Fr disk, chain, & brake rod will line up (you'd need the disk from the 550).
The 750-CSR is sort of a big bike, so 1000 wheels might be better?

I looked and the 750 ltd wheels all have matching numbers to the csr, the only thing thats different is all of them that i find have the disc brake on the rear where mine's drum, would this be an easy conversion?
