Hard tailing a kz 750!
13 Apr 2013 14:37
I am looking for pics of hard tailed kz 75oh's, or low ride soft tail's. I was planning a cafe style as per my profile pic, but with my wifes encouragement decided against it. So any pics or help would be great. Thanks.

I am not a fan of using the swinger to hardtail it but if unsure of your skills it is easier to make and keep aligned.

I bet that twin has got alot of torque. horsepower would be your worst enemy on a hardtail so the twin is a good engine design.

The engine does a bit of torque production. I bought a new chain for the bike and was stunned to see the size difference. I had heard more than a few stories about the 750 snapping chains... And I'm leaning towards keeping the swing arm, as I don't have all the jigs and stuff to hold the bike straight. I got the bike loaded in my truck now I'm waiting for the weather to co-op so I can get me some fabbing done. Since I moved out the house and lost my garage space, I have had to work off my trailer in storage... no fun !

Re: Hard tailing a kz 750!- chain stretch
19 Apr 2013 00:35 - 19 Apr 2013 18:43
does it have a center stand? properly oiling the chain is necessary for chain life. simple dish soap- tough on grease easy on hans- will not bust the slime off there well enough. I bought some grunge buster and a regular stiff nylon brush for my chain.
my chain has a few threads left for the adjusters and still has some slop.
the side to side slop is worrying me also.
any idea on why the 750 chain stretches private message me.
my cogs say sun star 530 so I would think a new one would be pricey to fit that setup.

19 Apr 2013 18:4537 ft lbs @ 8k rpm is not that much considering we are talking about the same bike.hawkman wrote: The engine does a bit of torque production.
