I want to replace the stock footpegs with some of the metal type that sportbikes use. I want to keep the stock brackets. Thanks

I doubt there is anything. Even the early GPz's don't match up.

There are people here that make bolt on modern looking rear sets here though.

Thanks, not looking for rear sets, just want to pull the stock peg out of the mounting bracket and fit something more modern looking and less bulky.

Hey man, just found this today. I'm doing the same as you, same rearsets just different footpegs. Check out Dime City Cycles.

I used a set of footpegs from a 1983 Honda CX650 turbo on my KZ1000 project. I found them at a local salvage yard, glass beaded them and ordered new rubber treds for them. I think all I needed to do to mount them was trim a small amount from one surface so that they were level when mounted.

That gear shift linkage looks a little tortured....can you get the linkage rod to connect to the inside of the "L" bracket coming off the gear selector shaft? Just to get it more in line?

Just my 2 cents

I fixed it! Cut it loose, shortened up the mount and rewelded. Could have maybe moved it a tad more in but this is close.
