Rear Master Cyl rod thread size?

I need to shorten the brake rod on the rear master cylinder. I believe it is from a 77 or 78 KZ 1000. I screwed up the threads and dont know what size die I need. Unthreaded portion of rod is 9mm. Thanks

I would think 10mm x 1.25 thread pitch.

Thanks. I think you are correct. Found a pitch gauge and it is 1.25. Of course the kit I have only gets close  at 1.5
