crash bars
28 Feb 2013 19:24
got a one piece steel crashbar that was bent to high hell. it looks like someone tried to straighten it with a torch-the chrome looks burnt.
I was going to try to find some of the side cover style crashbars, I don't know what they are called.
the one piece crash bar thay I have is snug over the exhaust that I have on there and I layed it down on it a couple of times.
maybe it is time for something different.

Probably what you want, are called "Case Savers".
www.redlinecycle.com
and maybe
www.fastfrom
thepast.com might have them. Also
www.reproductiondecals.com
and
www.americanclassix.com

I've found these to be interesting, from K Factory in Japan... they have some trick parts available. These are CNCed from delrin. They would work well in a lighter impact or tip-over imo. Cheers Doug

You can use the case savers from any KZ650 & most KZ750-4s (mayabe not a GPz or L3 - not sure. ).
Also, according to an MCEnterpirses fitment chart that came w my case guards, most KZ550s as well.
550/650/750-4. Standard, SR, CSR, Ltd, Spectre. (not the 750-Twins - the mounting points are different).
