I have a 1979 kz750 twin and Im doing some work on it and I wanna get new excel rims but I'm gonna get an 18 inch instead of 19 on both front and back but the problem is I can figure out exactley what size my hubs are so I can get the right size spokes can someone help me out? If not could atleast help me figure out what size spokes I need

check buchanonwheel.com ,they should have what you need.
Front hub should be same as kz650/750 twin/kz900/kz1000 77-78,rear wheel should take same spokes as a 77-78 kz1000 B)

actually call them in 3 minutes you will know what size whats available and their price is so close to anyone else there is no reason to shop for a better deal if just buying spokes

How much does a spoke rim like that cost? Ballpark? It's what I wish my bike had.

I talked to them about a 3.5 x 18 alum. rim with stainless
spokes lace'd to my KZ1000 hub and it was around $500 to my door.

1980 KZ650 F1
ZX750A1 motor.
Wiseco 810cc kit.
Zukiworks racing ported head.
VM 29 smooth bore's.
Dyna 2000 Ign. w/Dyna mini coil's
APE cylinder stud's and nut's.
APE valve spring's.
APE Track King clutch.
V/H KZ1000 sidewinder.
3.5x18 laced to a KZ1000 disk hub.
150/60/18 Shinko 006 Podium.
63" wheel base.

That looks great...are those SS spokes polished or plain SS?

DJkz750Twin....Have you done anything with your wheels yet? If you're going through all the trouble to get new rims, think about going a little wider. You can fit a bigger rim and tire if you want. Not sure on the 750 but a 3.5" rim on the rear requires no modifications at all.

Well thanks for the suggestion I've already got the 2.15 for the front and I'm waiting for my tire to come in the mail to see exactly how it will look but what do u mean by nothing has to be modified? I've been building off the wrenchmonkees and classified moto I really like their stuff and thats what they were running on theirs and I wanna ride on some retro style Dunlop k70's 4.00 x 18

On the 1000's, you can install a 3.5" wide rim without having to change swingarms or offsetting the chain....not sure on the 750.
