chainguard compatability? was created by blu92in99
Can anyone confirm whether or not chainguard p/n #36014-1034 is a bolt-in substitute for the #36014-1061 chainguard?

Partzilla lists both as being applicable for quite a few of the KZ-P models, but only the #1061 is applicable to the GPz1100-B1/B2. Not sure how much faith to put into that.

Thanks in advance!

Did you try the diagrams at Kawasaki.com?

1034 appears to be a chrome chain guard & the bolt holes spacing is different. I bet they do not interchange. I'm assuming the GPz part is black plastic.

I haven't had a chance to check the Kawi diagrams directly when I've been at home, and for some reason they don't come through the proxy here at work (Alldata). I was checking the Kawi diagrams over on Partzilla though, but I digress. :)

Thanks for your input guys, much appreciated. The hunt continues for a #1061...

The chain guard info for your bike is a head scratcher. The Kaw diagram for the 82 KZ1000-P1 lists the 1061 chain guard, but in the drawing they also show the chrome chain guard (1034). The bolt hole spacing looks different.

Here's some part number info for the GPz.
