chainguard compatability?

Can anyone confirm whether or not chainguard p/n #36014-1034 is a bolt-in substitute for the #36014-1061 chainguard?

Partzilla lists both as being applicable for quite a few of the KZ-P models, but only the #1061 is applicable to the GPz1100-B1/B2. Not sure how much faith to put into that.

Did you try the diagrams at Kawasaki.com?

1034 appears to be a chrome chain guard & the bolt holes spacing is different. I bet they do not interchange. I'm assuming the GPz part is black plastic.

I haven't had a chance to check the Kawi diagrams directly when I've been at home, and for some reason they don't come through the proxy here at work (Alldata). I was checking the Kawi diagrams over on Partzilla though, but I digress.

The chain guard info for your bike is a head scratcher. The Kaw diagram for the 82 KZ1000-P1 lists the 1061 chain guard, but in the drawing they also show the chrome chain guard (1034). The bolt hole spacing looks different.
