I would run one. I put one on my KZ even with the stock fender, made a big difference.

there is one on e-bay now and it looks like an old school ATK that is my favorite looking one..but the seller does not list it as a 900 and it can be tricky as i believe the J-model were different...
that said
fast from the past sells tarozzi ...they are a notch above 100 with tax.....I'm looking into this too
if it will fit kz1000 chain bikes to 79 it will fit 900's as the tarazzi sellers dont often list them as fitting 900's
new is the way to go
or run an ad on here

Motor Head, I'll have to call them, cause the chart does'nt make sence to me, item #23-0012 says the brace will fit the 76 LTD 900 (B-1) & the 1980 LTD 1000(B-4), & item # 23-0025 says its also for the 1980 LTD 1000, but it has bigger diameter #'s for the forks, I dont think they made 2 different sets of forks for the 80 LTD 1000, as I'd also like to get a fork brace for my 80 LTD 1000...Pete

I install fork braces on every vintage bike I own. Does make a difference in handleing.

Do you have a steering stabilizer on that 650 Dave?
A stabilizer will probably do you more good than a brace,as light as the front end has got to be getting going down the track it couldnt hurt

Not yet but soon.
I think a lot of it is I got a 30 + year old
wire wheel that "might" not be round any more.
I do have a spare hub to build a front wheel.
Thinkin maybe a 2x18 alum. rim to match the back wheel.
