Rear brake bracket

Today I put my rear wheel back together on my KZ700 84. Everything is correct as far as spacers and axle go, but something strikes odd. The brake caliper bracket seems to line up with the rotor but it is off set slightly off centered. If you look from the back the disc is farther to the left. I rolled the bike acrosd garage and I dont feel anything catching or grinding but it just looks like the disc should be hitting that bracket. Could someone take a look at their rear disc and see how it sets in the bracket. Thanks

Here are some pictures...maybe you guys see something I dont lol. Like I said, no awkward noises. Wheel turns just find and looks straight.

Can you post side view of bike/caliper?

I would check the brake pads for excessive wear; maybe they need to be replaced. Remember, the caliper piston is on the right side of the brake assembly so the brake caliper moves to the right when you apply the brake. When you let off the brake the caliper does not re-center itself, it only moves back to the left enough to take pressure off the disk. So as the dead pad (the one on the left) wears the caliper shifts more and more to the right. This is true even when both pads wear evenly. If you haven't replaced the pads in recent memory it is probably time to do so. Ed

Changing the pads will shift the disc/axle bracket centered? I figured the bracket is stationary since its part of the axle assembly. I havent replaced since I got the bike...probably should just because.

Changing pads won't shift the bracket; it will shift the caliper. I might be mistaken (big surprise, I know) but judging by the pictures is appears that it is the left side of the caliper that is really close to the disk. When you get a chance double check to see if that is the case rather than the bracket. Ed

Here are some more pictures. It is not the caliper itself. It is the bracket. Bra cket needs to shift slightly to left. Should I maybe stick a washer inbetween bracket and swingarm on right side. Idk. I am lost. I am just boggled thst I can not hear any grinding

Are you sure the wheel spacers couldn't be reversed side to side?

I guess it could be. I went by what the parts diagram says. Maybe ill reverse them and see what happens.
