1980 KZ1000 C3 Gas Tank.

Hi All,

I am struggling to find a replacement gas tank. Does anyone know if there are compatible tanks from other years. Is there some sort of grid that shows parts compatible from model to model, year to year? Or is there a larger tank from another bike that would fit?

Im not sure what a c3 tank looks like.I have a 80 a4 you can find a lot of stuff on ebay you have to check every day Untill you find it. If its out there it will show up.Good luck

I was just on ebay there is a used one for 75 dollars and there is 4 new ones for 950 dollars go to ebay

BB, are you looking to change the appearance of your bike? Look at the bottom of your tank and compare it with the tanks you find on E-Bay, Craig's List, ECT. Also go to Pro Caliber.com for part info for your bike then compare that info to possible candidates. its going to take some research to get a tank that will be a good replacement.

Do your research very well. I bought a tank that did not fit. I own a 1981 KZ1000 J1. Wanted a new tank that resembled the Eddie Lawson tank. Bought a tank for a 1983 KZ750 L3, Everything about the tank suggested it would fit. But the underside of the tank would not fit around the frame of the 1000. With luck, it will fit my KZ650.
