There might be some diagrams in the filebase here or you could go to
www.kawasaki.com
Click on
Owner info
Parts Diagrams and select Morcycle, Year and CC and keep going until you are presented with a choice of 5 or 6 models. Yours will be listed as the 1983 Ninja 750 or ZX 750.

I had a quick look and that wheel looks the same as mine

1980 kz750E1, Delkevic exhaust

If you go to the kawasaki.com vehicle selection page, and select "Ninja 750R" under "Marketing Names" it will list 1983-1985, 1986-1990 Ninja 750R's. In the actual parts diagram for the 83 ZX750A1 it calls it a Ninja.

I always thought that the first Ninja was the first water cooled sportbike, but I was wrong again.

You're right, they don't say Ninja anywhere but in the Kawasaki parts pages. That's why I never call it a Ninja.
