Lowering Blocks
12 Dec 2012 08:05
Hi guys I haven't posted in while,I have a 1980 KZ 1000 B4,Im going to replace my fork seals this winter and I want to install lowering blocks in the forks while I have them off.Last Spring I installed 2" shorter shocks and slammed the forks thru the trees. This didn't get the bike to sit level because the forks will only go so far until they hit the handle bars. What I want to do is add 2" lowering blocks(2" inches is what I think I need) and pull the forks back thru the trees to the original position.I remember awhile back reading a post here about lowering blocks for forks,I have searched the forum and cannot find the post(I believe it might have been from powerstroke)I looked @the Race Tech web site and still can't find them.I have access to a lathe and thought I'll just fab my own but don't have any specs for the blocks.Any input would be a great help.

Check Shnitz Racing, they carry them for some of our models.
