how does a front brake assembly come apart? on a 77-79 kz1000. the front master i dont see how it comes apart.
1982 Kz750 w/ inverted gsxr front end. (sold) but forever missed
1980 z1000 cafe project w/76kz900 motor in it
80 kz 1000
81 kz1000
79 Yamaha xs 650
1979 kz 1000 LTD
1977 kz 1000 A
1977 kz 650 C
1978 kz 650

no i wish i did.. I have the front mast completly down to bare bones so no lever is on nore the cap but i dont know how the internal mechanism comes out...

Am thinking '77 has a cir-clip like the '76. It's fitted deep, is difficult to remove, and will likely be destroyed during the removal process. Usually, a new cir-clip is required for reassembly.

Am thinking Z1E lists extra long needle-nose pliers needed to reach the cir-clip.

Thanks for all the help. I didnt not see the circlip because its hidden under the dust boot part. Thanks for help everyone. Appreciate it.
