When i first got my kz i loooked all over they weregoing for 70-100 bucks when you could find them on ebay. I ebnded up with used set of honda 650 shocks for about 35 bucks.

pretty sure 30 year old bike could use new shocks shacks can be bought by specific length good to go.

the lowereing kits were designed asw a cheap alternitive to lowering your NEW motorcycle
due to their raretythey aare more expensive now than in 78 makes ,ore sense to buy anew shorter shock than pay 50 bucks (current price on fleabay) to increase the angle of a 30 plus year old wore out shock

Oh Yeah I am running a set on my goldwing we made with some scraps parts LAYING AROUND. THE DO WORK

Just cut the bottom shock mount off flush.
Drill a 3/8 or 10mm hole, right below. Space the shock out with a nut.
Fit the shock with a nice quality, hardened bolt, washer and nut.
Lowers it about 2 inches. takes less than an hours time.

Use your swingarm or buy one on ebay and cut that one up if you don't want to
destroy your original. Have done this years ago, on several KZ-Z1's.

Don't have any digital pictures to show.
