Its all about maintenance.
If you change both gears and chain at same time ,buy a GOOD chain and keep it clean/greased/adjusted theres no reason it wont last a long time.
Thats some tough material they use on sprockets. B)

update:

www.rebelgears.com/ can make a 47T rear aluminum sprocket for the 440. They priced it at 77 bucks and 2 weeks to make it.

The price is high compared to stock, but this would be my only option to change the sprockets for better acceleration.

When the time comes, we'll see what I end up doing.

Even with slightly faster acceleration from stop or crawl, a downside of lower overall gearing is higher rpm while cruising.

Yea, i'm not to worried. I live in Cleveland and the bike won't be a long distance cruiser. 65-70 will be the fastest I'll be going.
