I.D. this brake part!!! was created by jbeebe1
While adjusting my rear brake i came upon this little gem. The rod that extends off the cable and goes to the brake cam lever thing is all bent up. It's much worse than it appears in the pics.

Anyone know what this part is called so i can order one up? I couldn't get a parts diagram for it on performancepartsplus.

The Brake Rod is listed in the Brake-Pedal/Torque-link diagram (not the Rear Brake diagram).

Martin beat me to it but the part is NLA.

If it was mine, I'd take it off and straighten it out the best I could and use it as is.

Looks like you got some 'battery rot' up towards the front of it. If you are looking for a replacement, google 43011-026 and see what comes up.
Also, as Martin shows, get familiar with the parts diagrams on Kawasaki.com they can be very hepful.

nice job guys. I have never even been on the parts diagrams on kawasaki.com, thanks!

I need to take off the cam lever back there anyway, so when i do i'll remove the rod and pound it out. bend it straight that is....

I found a rod and the spring on ebay for under 20 bucks shipped. I'll be throwing it on when I do the sprockets, chain, brake shoes, etc later.
