I will get in the welcome room asap and show you guys some pics etc..

Was hoping some one may be able to confirm if i can use a 1985 KAWASAKI GT750 front axle on a 1980 KZ750 H1 (at least i think its a 1? definatly an H)

I'm chasing an Ebay item.

Lots of good info on kawasaki.com, including parts diagrams, part names, part numbers, models sharing same part, availability, etc. Here's a link for help with navigating the site and finding information.

ThanX Patton.

Had a good look around on there. I can see me being on that sight a lot now. lol
Got a nice long list of bikes using the same part. But the GT was not in it, so just to check i thought i'd have a look at the GT itself. it dus'nt appear to come up in any of there listings? dus anyone know if there's a different reference for the GT? Visually it appears to be part of the same line of bikes?
Don't relay want to ignore a good part, for a good price if its actually on the list under a different name?

Most diagrams are for the US or N American market, so if it wasn't sold here, the GT750 won't be included in the parts list. From doing an internet image search, the GT looks similar to an 83 KZ750-L3 Sports. The L3 is a standard model, similar to the KZ750-E models. From the photos I saw, the GT appears to have leading axle forks like the 750H.

Edit: as noted by steell below, the GT750 is shaft drive. The L3 Sports has a chain.

I believe the GT750 was a shaft driven bike sold outside the US. Europe for sure.

Front axle will probably work.
