One think to think about when considering the total cost. Unless you are installing the tire yourself, most shops will charge a higher installation fee if the tire was not purchased from them. This is because they cannot compete with the online merchants.

+1 My locla shop throws the mount and balance in free for a tire bought there which is about $25 value. Add shipping and you are spending an extra $40 or more to get an internet tire.

J+P Cycles quotes that tire at $100 so $120 local price is pretty good price.

I have a couple bike shops reletively close to me and they both have told me with intallation they are competitive with ordering from the internet IE 200.00 tire + 25.00 mount and ballance
225.00 total most tires they price include mount and ballance

order online 199.00
wait a week (3 days min)
take to bike shop
get put on list
pay 25.00 to mount and ballance

or pay 249.00 installed today

I always order mine online, but then I always mount/balance my own tires. It's not that I'm too cheap, I just don't trust that pimply faced 17 year old tire boy not to pinch my tubes since he won't be on the bike if his incompetence causes a flat tire. ;)
