Wheel size.??

Hi all, I' m converting an old kz750 into a bobber, loads of it is rusted away but the baby's running now. Anyone know what is the widest rear wheel I can fit? At the moment we are hard tailing it with struts, with a new frame coming when funds allow it. So the new wheel would have to fit in the existing swinging arm and accept the rear sprocket. Any ideas?

Without getting an offset engine sprocket & wider swingarm, I'd say maybe a 130 x 18 tire.

I have a stock width swingarm on mine 9-1/4 inch wide and have a 150 70 18 on with no problems...running all stock sprokets...chain clears sidewall by a 1/4 inch and tracks like butter....

I'm squeezing a 130/80/18 in my stock swingarm. But I'm not sure that the width of my rim don't play apart in that, and I'm almost positive it's not factory width.

What I would find interesting is the rim width,tire size and actual width of tire at widest part.

I have put a 150 on a 13x6 on a KZ650sr and had to modify the swing arm.

My 130/16 is 5 3/8 wide, rim is 3.25 and I have a 1/2 clerance tween chain and tire. For what it is worth.

Im 3.50 x 18 rim with a 150 70 18 tire.
