79 kz1000 fork to 03 zx6r ?

Well,here it goes.I can't leave anything alone,I have to swap somthin.I've been looking at some sweet looking swaps on kzr,so I've got the swap fever.I'm putting 03 zxr 600 forks on my kz1000.The forks I bought don't come with the upper triple.Does anybody know if the zx6e or zzr600 upper triple will fit on the Zx6r forks?I can buy a zzr 600 upper triple for a fraction of the cost.I appreciate any help on this.

NOTE: Most of the ZX6 upper trees are designed for clip ons where you'll require risers for bar mounts unless going the clip on route. The upper trees don't sit flat on some of the model years such as mine where I had to use flat plate spacer...

Start with (PM) Les Holt & 531Blackbanshee for they also do some trick machiningg work...

I found a zx6 swap thread on Kawasaki forums.Looks like from 98 to 08 zx6 triples will work from zx6 to zx6.You may have to make some stem mods though.I already have to modify mine to fit the kz.It looks like the 00-02 upper triple is flat,so it may be easier to install the bar risers.Thanks for the info omr.

The ZZR 600 has a flat upper. And is a 43mm tube I think?
