Clubman bars on 82 kz650 csr

I have just recently bought a 1982 kz650 csr and im in the process of putting clubman bars on, but i ran into issues with the brake fluid box hitting the gauges and headlight. Is there a way i can get these bars to work? I have thought about filing off the tiny metal petrusions under the throttle box so i no longer need a hole in the bar and just sliding the throttle off the bar maybe 1/4" but im not sure if that will effect function.
Any ideas?

If you only need a 1/4" drill a new hole further out. The housing can rotate without the pin.

Moving the throttle and switch housing down the bar an inch or so should be fine.
I hacked the nib off my controls in the '80s.
If the switches start to rotate, I tighten the mounting screws.
