I really hate to influence someone to do something, I do have my own taste but the ZX arm with Leon's bushing setup seems to be a good option, as for the front, I'm a believer in Kaw on Kaw so I say ZX forks but the GSXR's work as well and to be honest, I've not seen a single advantage towards the GSXR other than the GSXR forks have more offset witch may give you just a little more turning radius but that's only noticed when just pushing the bike around and the increase in trail is a plus on both but more so on the ZX forks.
PM me and we can work something out to your taste.

LOL! If I didn't want you influence I would not have asked your opinion. What I would like to do is keep it all Kawasaki. Its a budget bike so I'm trying to find the method with the least amount of modifications.

+1 on the pics and parts list.

Here's some better shots of the bike and front end.

Parked next to ramtough's KZ

I have 03/04 ZX6 forks on my Z1R and 09/11 ZX6 forks on this bike. The older forks can be slid down with only a dropped top tree, the newer ones will require a dropped lower as well.

There are some different pics on my thread,

Wow! Beautiful machine. Love the suspension....and the rest of it.

Are you able to run a speedometer off of that front wheel?

Another thing to consider is these KZ's weren't known for handling speed well, with the reduction in offset with the newer front ends it's greatly improved by increasing trail!
No speedo off the front wheel, It's an electric speedo by autometer and running a hall effect sensor of the front sprocket to work it.
