Ridin a Shaftie.

Took a while to get the hang of throttle managment,before that my Spectre was a bit jerky.Is this common with a shaft drive?

Rear will rise up when you twist it and drop when you get off,just the opposite of chain drive.

Proper slack in throttle cable? I found it easier to use with just a little play at the idle-end of travel.

Mine's like that too. The throttle adjustment will probably help a little, but I found an old review from when the Spectre was new once, and even at the time they mentioned that there seemed to be more slop in the driveline of the spectre than on the chain variants. So I wouldn't be concerned about it unless it's enough of a jerk to make it hard to ride.

Thanks for the replies,I have slackened up on the throttle cable and it helps. I was wondering if the cush hub plays a part?
