dont get me wrong...there are nothing but good things there...

but it looks like the circus came to town

to each his own....but they look pretty darn good with just a header and era mods....i seen nicer ones stock...

too busy......kinda ...like.....well...hmmmm....careful here........i guess.......you ever see what they do with these things over there when they get a hold of one...from the 550 to the elr.....they just...kinda....well...lemme see...how do you say it p.c......fuck em up

that one is really not so bad...but blacking out a bitchen motor and putting ten different themes on one bike.......money dont make perfect.....that was a killer bike when it was made to begin with imo....it lost it's soul

Sanctuary make some amazing bikes. There are a few Japanese extreme builders out there who cook up glorious resto-mods for the filthy rich. Yes, I'm a little envious and also have to agree a bit with Tri... The purist may say they look like someone just threw money at it until there was nothing else that could be added.

Gotta love the MKII. I have given up trying to find stock exhausts and that Nitro pipe looks wicked. Probably about 25 hun though. A nice Kerker may have to suffice.

Check out Bulldock... another amazing Japanese mod shop. While some of theor stuff is a tad garish some of thier their Z1R's are Viagra on 2 wheels. Yeah a stock R6 would smoke one of these bikes but the unique blend of late 70's style and modern muscle parts is a look you just dont see every day. I also think only guys 40+ can really appreciate them. I sold Kaw, Yamaha and Suzuki in 77-82 and I love the bikes from that era. And yes, a nice stock MKII looks pretty damn good on its own and dont cost $50K

i was just stirring the board but no bites....i would love to have that bike...but maybe tone it down a tad...sadly i dont have 10-20 g to build a monster....oh wait ducati makes one ...used they go about 6 g......

park a stock MKII like your avatar next to that tricked out one and go park em at bike night on cannery row next weekend or so...

and watch which one folks gather round...just saying

I still like the Harry Maillet performance works version better from the mid 80s. It was more like the original AMA Superbike Freddie Spencer rode. Yes Freddie rode a MKII in AMA superbike before the honda days. Bikes were really cool modified to race back in those days and you could build your street bike to match somewhat if you had the money and skills. I had neither, but liked them days a lot

321,000 miles on KZ's that I can remember. Not going to see any more.

Personally, I love that Sanctuary bike. The only things I would change are the routing of the oil cooler lines (I really don't like ther wrapround style, much prefer over the top of the head), and possibly the plug leads. Wouldn't argue for a second that a Mk II has classic style, but IMHO this level of modding only emphasises the mean lines.

I would love for my own bike to be built to that level, but there's no way I can afford to build another ridiculously expensive toy !

Cheers,
Brian
