front wheel problem
29 Jun 2012 01:27
for some reason i can't get my front wheel to mount my forks.the bike came with some spoked wheels from a 78 650 mounted on 82 750ltd forks. but when i try to mount the 82 mag wheels to the forks it seems the axle is to wide. why would the 78 wheel bolt up but the the 82 mag wheel? is there a known difference in the hubs?please help. i hope im not just being stupid. i removed both axles and compared and they look identical.

ill post photos soon. the forks are off of the 82 750 ltd because they except two front calipers im thinking the triple clamps maybe from the 78 650. shit. there must be a difference in the triple. when i bought the bike it was a 78 650 frame with a 82 750e motor. with no title so i just brought an 82 frame with a title. but now that i think about it the triples are most likly off the 650. i really wanna run the mag wheels. plus i already had everything powder coated. shit.

All 650s had provisions for a second front disc.
