No more go.
25 Jun 2012 02:45
So I finally got my bike running right and something went wrong with the transmission. I will be honest, I was on a straight back country road and took her up to 100. I let off the throttle then nothing. Doesn't matter what gear no go. Any ideas?

That gets em every time.

Make sure you use a bending lock washer behind the nut.

I just put on a new clutch but I did just take some slack out of my chain. They pegged it. Just took my cover off, sprocket was hanging off. You guys rock!

Ha ha ha, been there done that. I lost mine on the freeway near home, when I got off the bike and layed on the ground to check if the nut was there and it wasn't. I walk ed to a pay phone and when she picked me up we went by the bike to check on it and there was 3 CHP cars and they were looking for the guy that got run over his own bike.

I've had two sprockets on two bikes (both kawi's) back off, and always on the exit ramp after running 70 plus. Neither sprocket had a tabbed washer too, until I replaced them.
