Okay so my bike came in pieces and has these parts. I need to get the right parts for my bike. That is the easy part! I want to ID these 2 pieces so I can find a new home for them. I know the bracket is Kawasaki but not sure years or models. The seat I have absolutely no idea what it is from. PLEASE HELP!!

It looks to me the seat for a 1981-1982 Kz1000/Kz1100/Gpz1100. I do not recognize the metal brackets on the far left side of the seat. Are they riveted on, or just lying there?

The piece with the foot pegs looks like the left side, holding the drivers and passenger pegs.

The mystery seat likely isn't from an LTD model, as the rear tire size indicates an 18 inch wheel, and the LTD has a 16" rear wheel.

Good Fortune! :)

In the underseat pic, the number at the top right part of the info label is illegible.

Could Google the number to see if any pertinent info comes up.

Go to kawasaki.com and follow the links to "owner info" and then "parts diagrams". Enter your bike info and you can see the official parts breakdown, in pictures, for your bike. They show a 2 cylinder and a 4 cylinder LTD for your year. You must proceed on your own from here, grasshopper.

That part number is for the label itself.
Don't hate me.

A little CSI work and we find out that the two tires spec'ed out on that label were introduced for the 1980 KZ1000J. Don't think much changed for 1980 to 83 models, but I'm not an expert.
