Gsxr best replacement setup for Kz650?

It seems all mono rear/upsidedown front suspension replacements I've seen here are Gsxr 600/750's. Will others (R1/6, Zx7/9, etc) work as well, or is there more work involved?

i have to say that the only reason that i used the gixxer parts, is because they are every where!!!!!!!
ebay is full of gixxer parts every day!!!!so this some times makes them cheaper. (some times that is) plus finding bearings and things like that are really easy.

so far my bike isnt all KZ, but its all Kawasaki!
